Dan O’Connor is a criminal defence lawyer serving you in the Greater Toronto Area. He has extensive experience in criminal trial advocacy built on a foundation of over 30 years with the Attorney General. He was a senior Crown Attorney who prosecuted criminal offences as well as legal counsel prosecuting regulatory environmental offences at the Ministry of the Environment of Ontario.
You will be represented by a lawyer with considerable background and skill in domestic violence and abuse, assault, alcohol or drug impaired driving, among many other criminal offences.
Mr. O’Connor’s area of practice include domestic abuse, assault, property offences, white collar offences, such as regulatory and fraud charges. In association, his practice includes civil litigation, debt collection, real estate and divorce matters.
Mr. O’Connor is currently a member of the Advocate Society. He is a past Director of the Board of the Association of Law Officers of the Crown. He was a member of the Judicial Advisory Committee for appointments to the Superior Court of Justice 2012 – 2018. He was Adjunct Professor of Law; University of Western Ontario 2005 – 2006. He was Chair – Provincial Offences Act Working Group 2004 – 2008 and he served on the Ministry of the Attorney General: Advisory Committee on Youth Justice, 2000 – 2001.
